Who runs the numbers?
Revenue goes to suppliers, staff, rent, utilities, repairs, card fees, and loan payments.
The owner gets what is left.
Most business owners cannot tell you their effective hourly rate. They know their revenue. They know their busy periods.
They do not know what they actually take home per hour worked.
The ones who know that number — and track it monthly — are the ones still operating in five years.
That number has a name: Owner Benefit.
It should be tracked. Every month. Not at year end.

Suppliers get paid Tuesday.
Staff gets paid Friday.
The card clears Monday.
You get what is left.
Cash flow is the number one reason businesses close — not bad product, not bad location, not bad service.
A 13-week cash flow forecast tells you which weeks are tight before they become a problem.
That function either exists in your business or it doesn't.
