Recently a friend of mine contacted me. While we were chatting, she mentioned that 1 in 4 Singaporeans may develop cancer in their lifetime.
I was thinking, No lah. 1 in 4 Singaporeans may develop cancer?
From Wikipedia, the Singapore population is 5.70 million. About 4.03 million make up of Singaporeans and PR. So 1 in 4 means 1 million Singaporeans and PR may develop cancer in their lifetime.
So I checked out the fact of 1 in 4 and the numbers from the Singapore Cancer Society have stated that about 39 people are diagnosed with cancer and 15 people died from cancer every day (see the link).
Let's enjoy our lives and remember YOLO.
Important, we need to ensure that we do not be a financial liability to our family if cancer were to hit us.
Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. 3 John 1:2 (NIV)
