Kuna Taberia Kiruwi Accountants & Advisors, a mid-tier Certified Practicing Accounting firm based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, is seeking a qualified and experienced Payroll Officer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
∙ Payroll Processing and Setup & Onboarding: Payroll processing for existing clients and setup & onboarding of new clients.
∙ Payroll Compliance and Administration: Perform payroll calculations, that include: Gross Pay, Deductions, Net Pay and Accruals.
∙ Quality Assurance: Drive initiatives to improve team accuracy in payroll processing through quality checks and implementation of process improvements.
∙ Staff & Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for staff and clients, promptly addressing queries and resolving payroll-related issues.
∙ Confidentiality & Data Security: Oversee the protection of all sensitive personal and financial data by enforcing strict security protocols and ensuring full compliance with legal obligations to maintain employee and client trust.

Qualifications:
∙ Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related field
∙ Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll management

Technical skills:
∙ Some knowledge in payroll software such as SmoothPay goPayroll, Pronto, Able Payroll, Attache.
∙ Knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws

Soft Skills:
∙Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skill
∙Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
∙High degree of integrity & confidentiality
∙High level of motivation
∙Strong organisational skills
∙Adaptability
