Matariki Herenga Waka | Matariki for Everyone
A time to reflect on what matters most.
To reconnect with our values.
To honour those who came before us.
To look ahead with hope and purpose.
This Matariki, our people have been exploring the connection between their personal values, our Ngā Mātāpono (the values that guide us at PwC), and the meaning of the nine Matariki stars through a week of learning, reflection and shared experiences.
From coming together over shared meals, to using AI to transform personal reflections into unique Matariki-inspired artworks, and supporting charities that help whānau in need, we’ve celebrated Matariki through reflection, innovation and giving back.
A special thank you to our Manukura team for sharing their knowledge and making this week so special.
From all of us at PwC New Zealand, we wish you a meaningful Matariki.
Mānawatia a Matariki. ✨

Baking for a cause 💗
Our Auckland, Waikato, Napier and Christchurch teams recently took part in the PwC Foundation x Breast Cancer Foundation NZ “Bake Off Fundraiser”, donating in exchange for some seriously good baked goods.
Together, we raised $6,998 in support of the important mahi does for people affected by breast cancer across Aotearoa New Zealand, with support from the PwC Foundation helping to further amplify the impact.
Ngā mihi nui to everyone who baked, donated, taste-tested and helped make a difference.

Buckets, dungarees, and a lot of generous Kiwis 💙
Last Friday our PwC volunteers were out supporting the Street Appeal, collecting donations and backing an incredible cause.
What started in our PwC Christchurch office as ‘Dungarees Day’ has grown into a nationwide effort, rallying our people around the appeal each year.
Together we raised more than $18k with the help of 40 PwC volunteers across the motu.
A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, or rocked dungarees (or double denim!) to support children and families navigating a child cancer journey.

Leading up to International Women’s Day, our Women in Leadership network “Elevate” partnered with Woven Earth to support women rebuilding their lives after domestic violence.
Through our PwC Volunteer Day, the team spent the morning volunteering at the Woven Earth warehouse and also delivered 40 handbags filled with essential items and small treats - made possible through the generosity of our PwC whānau and matched funding from the PwC Foundation.
More than practical items, these handbags help restore dignity, and hope.
