Hamilton Chartered Accountants is seeking an experienced, qualified Accountant to lead our Walvis Bay office. This is a senior position with genuine long-term growth potential within the practice for the right candidate.

You'll take ownership of a team of 15, managing a portfolio of Close Corporation, Trust, and Individual clients (no audit work), while working closely with our Windhoek office on broader firm matters.

What you'll be responsible for:
✅ Leading and managing a team of 15
✅ Client portfolio: Close Corporations, Trusts and Individuals
✅ Provisional tax and income tax calculations
✅ VAT, PAYE and related compliance oversight (working alongside our tax consultant)
✅ Resolving NamRA queries, disputes, and audits directly
✅ CaseWare and GreatSoft systems
✅ ITAS system administration
✅ Some exposure to Company Secretarial (SECT) and BIPA matters

What you'll need:
✔ Qualified Accountant, registered with CIBA, ACCA, NIPA or ICAN
✔ Proven experience managing a team in a professional accounting environment
✔ Working knowledge of Namibian tax law and VAT law
✔ Practical experience with ITAS and direct NamRA engagement
✔ Strong working knowledge of CaseWare and GreatSoft
✔ Able to work independently and mentor a team
