On 23 May 2026, we came together to mark World Boating Day - embracing Malta’s deep-rooted maritime heritage. From a peaceful yoga session by the shore, to creative reflections through art, and hands-on learning with Vikings Sailing Club, the day was all about connection, discovery, and shared passion for the sea.

World Boating Day is an annual celebration of life on the water and aims to make boating more accessible and inclusive for everyone-whether you're a seasoned sailor or experiencing boating for the first time. Malta offers a unique gateway to that freedom.

Join us in Malta on Saturday, 23 May, as we celebrate World Boating Day with a relaxed, family‑friendly morning by the sea at the private marina of Grand Hotel Excelsior Malta.

The event will begin with a waterside yoga and meditation session at 8:30am, offering a calm and energising start to the day. This will be followed by light refreshments and an informal talk and guidance session by Vikings Sailing Club, sharing insights into sailing and life on the water.

To round off the morning, participants will be invited to take part in a creative art activity, drawing what World Boating Day and boating life mean to them.
This event is designed to be relaxed, inclusive and enjoyable for all ages, celebrating the connection between people, the sea and the boating community.
