**WE’RE HIRING**

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable person to join our team. This is a senior-level role for a compliance professional who will be expected to act as Compliance Officer and/or MLRO for our clients.

You will work directly with a portfolio of regulated entities to ensure they meet legal and regulatory obligations, implement effective compliance frameworks, and stay ahead of AML/CFT requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as appointed Compliance Officer and/or MLRO on clients accross different regulated sectors including electronic money institutions (EMIs) and crypto-asset service providers (CASPs), amongst others.

• Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of clients’s regulatory as well as AML/CFT compliance frameworks.

• Monitor compliance with applicable regulatory requirements (MFSA and FIAU)

• Conduct risk assessments, reviews, audits, and gap analyses across client operations.

• Provide strategic compliance advice and support on an ongoing basis as well as during regulatory inspections.

• Deliver staff training, prepare reports for Boards and regulators, and assist with regulatory filings.

• Keep abreast of regulatory developments and advise clients accordingly.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance and a sound knowledge in AML/CFT and financial crime.

• Demonstrable experience in the regulated environment. Experience as an approved Compliance Officer and/or MLRO, would be considered as asset.

• In-depth knowledge of AML/CFT frameworks and related EU regulations.

• Strong understanding of operations and risks within the regulated environment.

• Familiarity with supervisory expectations and licensing frameworks.

• Recognised professional certifications will be favorably considered.

• Ability to manage multiple client relationships with professionalism and independence.

The position is on a full-time basis but will also consider part-time for more experienced candidates. The main focus of the role is multi-industry regulatory compliance as well as AML/CFT compliance.
