It was registered as Limlak Self Help Group in 2005 with the ministry of social services with a mission to promote thrift, prudent management, member participation, and regular education, development of dynamic systems that will ensure growth, security of funds and encourage a positive organizational culture. This is realized through continued enlistment of persons of common aspirations and helping them mobilize resources towards enhancing their economic base which helped the group to be transformed into Limlak Sacco Society in 2014. As a savings and credit society, LIMLAK is aimed at and continues to undertaking this by encouraging culture of savings among its members in which through borrowing, they improve their living standards
