Wilfred Bailey, a Certified Public & Chartered Accountant, has been working in the Auditing, Accounting and management field in various industries for nearly 30 years. Bailey is a graduated University of Technology (Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Management Major) and Business Administration Diploma Accounting Major. In 2011 he joine

d the faculty of the College of Business and Management of the University of Technology and lectured internal and external audit. At present he is the sole practitioner at W.W. Bailey & Company. In this practice he offers a wide range of services including attestations of all sorts (Internal and external auditing, reviews, forensic accounting) along with accounting services and taxation consultancy. Mr Bailey is also a partner in the accounting firm of PETER LEE AND ASSOCIATES. Mr Bailey has supported various legal teams in the tax courts and at the GLC. Previously, Mr. Bailey worked as a Treasurer with Air Jamaica, a world class provider of air travel solutions and Jamaica’s national airline, managing the company’s cash flow and risk portfolio in very challenging times. The services provide by Air Jamaica has led to better air transportation between the Caribbean and various destinations in North America and Europe. More recently he operated an independent broiler chicken operation ( flock size 3000) in Clarendon selling to various restaurants in the KMTR. Prior to Air Jamaica, Mr. Bailey worked at and held various senior positions at the following companies:

• OCEANIC DIGITAL JAMAICA, LTD
Vice President of Commercial Operations: Prior to being elevated to the lofty position of VP of Financial Services, Mr. Bailey was VP of Financial Operations. Subsequent to those two senior roles, Mr. Bailey moved up through the ranks from two subordinate roles of Senior Financial Analyst and Regional Sales Manager – West. Regional Sales Manager (West): Launched the company’s products in western Jamaica by establishing a sales team that was ranked among the best in the company while at the same time discharging responsibilities relating to regulatory and revenue assurance matters. Senior Financial Analyst: Developed sophisticated tools using Microsoft excel to support decisions to grow revenue and cut cost. Negotiated interconnect agreements, implemented the related billing systems and developed a sound business relationship with interconnect partners and the regulatory agency. Responsibilities included the management accounting functions of the entity (inventory management, budgeting and revenue assurance). Developed and implemented the 2004 budget.

• COPPERWOOD LTD
Group Operations Controller: Responsibilities included inventory movements, credit control – collections and accounts receivable, payroll, budget preparation and accounts receivable across the various companies. Plant Manager: With responsibility for general plant management to include production
Financial Accountant for Newport Wharf and Storage Limited implemented the general ledger system.

• KISKIMO LIMITED

Plant Manager: With responsibility for general production and plant management with special responsibilities for industrial relations and union negotiations. Cost & Management Accountant: Duties/responsibilities included:
a. Implemented a standard cost system
b. Monitor and account for variance routinely
c. Produce and evaluate input / output analysis
d. Cost raw materials in accordance with establish pricing policy
e. Raw Materials Stores
f. Providing general management accounting information
g. Purchasing all raw material locally and internationally

• KPMG PEAT MARWICK: Mr. Bailey held the position of Senior Audit Assistant, where he played a key role in the auditing of clients in the General and life insurance and of various types of financial institutions, agricultural and manufacturing organizations.
