What food (quality) [one] eats daily, so will [one] produce.
A sincere practice of yoga not only changed my physical body it also brought a great sense of awareness about the food I needed to eat and habits that were to be changed.
When my body needs to fast I know it, when it only wants fruits, I know it, when it needs a complete detox I know it too. Thanks to the yoga practice.
Sharing my food routine with timings with you in a hope that it helps you in some way
WAKE UP: 4:30am
Copper water right after waking up. Luke warm water after bowel movements
5-6am - Yoga Practice
6-7am: First yoga class
7am - overnight soaked dry fruits. I eat 2 Anjeer & 7 black grape raisins to pacify Vatta. 5 Giri almonds & 2 walnuts
7-9am: Classes
9 am: Detox Juice (Spinach + Kinow + Beetroot + Amla + Carrot)
9:30am: Breakfast (idli/upma/oats/poha/moong dal chila/seviyan + sprouts). A healthy mix of fats, carbs & protein for breakfast
12:30pm: Seasonal fruit only if I feel hungry
1:30-1:45pm: lunch(seasonal vegetable + seasonal grain roti + coriander chutney - must to boost digestion)
4:30pm: Roasted fox nuts/plant protein a scoop
5-6pm: Yoga class
6-7pm: meditation
7pm: Dinner(Most days moong dal khichdi cooked with vegetables)
10pm: A2 cow milk with a spoon of ghee. This drink has changed my life. This pacifies vatta, lubricates intestines, improves bowl movement & immunity. I add a pinch of raw turmeric to it & some cardamom seeds.
Here is how my eating schedule keeps me energetic throughout the day. Portion plays a great role. More important is eating as per your body type. I am Vatta Pitta, hence cooked food is important for me, so is ghee. :)
