Shares of Parag Milk Foods hit their 52-week low of Rs 65.50 in the intraday trade on July 1 after the company reported a loss of Rs 592 crore for the March quarter. The massive loss was due to a one-time write-down of inventory worth Rs 509.50 crore.

Currency Update - Indian Rupee

USDINR Spot (CMP: 78.87) has been trading with a bullish bias and has already crossed the key psychological levels of 78.60. The next likely level is 79.40; breach of same could push the currency towards 79.50 levels. With respect to USDINR Jul Futures (CMP: 79.03) the next likely level is 79.50.

RBI’s efforts of managing volatility in Rupee via forwards, NDF and spot market by selling dollars has prompted USDINR premiums to tumble thereby adding more pressure on the currency. Not only this, dollar liquidity shortage, continuous outflows from the local system and plausible bullish US Dollar Index shall keep the Rupee in jitters for some more time.
