Statement from Bosai Minerals Group (Guyana) Inc. on the MV Barima Tragedy.

It is with profound sorrow that Bosai Minerals Group Guyana Inc. learned of the tragedy involving the MV Barima Ferry that occurred on Saturday, July 18th, 2026. Our hearts are heavy for every family touched by this devastating event.

To the survivors, we extend our deepest sympathy and hope that, in time, they may find comfort and peace. To the families of those still missing, we offer our prayers and stand with you in this hour of anguish, holding on to hope alongside you.

We are especially mindful of our own colleague, Mr. Kenton Arthur, of the Mine Operations Department who survived the mishap but whose wife, children and extended family members remain among the missing.

Our thoughts and fervent prayers are with him and his loved ones, and the entire Bosai family surrounds him with support during this unimaginably difficult time.

We express our gratitude to the search and rescue teams and all those working tirelessly in response to this tragedy, and we pray for the safe recovery of every missing soul.

May those affected find strength, and may our community hold one another close in grief and in hope.
