Bui Power Authority & EMPLE Health Launches Employee Wellness Programme with Health Walk and Aerobics

To promote employee wellbeing, the Bui Power Authority (BPA), in collaboration with emPLE, officially launched its Employee Wellness Programme with a series of fitness activities aimed at encouraging physical activity, healthy lifestyles, stress reduction, and overall wellbeing among staff.

The activities were held simultaneously across two locations. On Friday, 26 June 2026, staff at the Bui Generating Station participated in a 5km health walk from the Clubhouse through the Bypass to Jama Town and back. The exercise was followed by an aerobics session at the Tennis Court, where staff engaged in guided fitness routines. On Saturday, 27 June 2i026, employees in Accra completed a 5km health walk from Ayi Mensah to Peduase.

The Acting Chief Executive Officer of Bui Power Authority, Ing. Kow Eduakwa Sam, who participated in the inaugural event, encouraged staff to make regular physical activity part of their daily lives. He urged employees to exercise at least three times a week, noting that an active lifestyle is essential for maintaining good health, improving productivity, and enhancing overall wellbeing.
