This week, George Y. Yiangou IDR had the pleasure of participating in the EOS Group Cross-Border Workshop in Riga.

Our colleague, Andreea Hadjinicolaou, represented our Debt Collection team and had the opportunity to connect with more than 60 EOS partners from 25 countries. It was a valuable experience filled with meaningful conversations, exchange of ideas, and the chance to strengthen relationships across the network.

Debt Collection Specialist

George Y. Yiangou (IDR) Ltd, with more than 45 years of experience in the field of debt
collection, is looking to recruit a Debt Collection Specialist for its offices in Nicosia.

The Company:
George Y. Yiangou (IDR) Ltd is a specialist debt collection agency handling international
B2B and B2C cases. Our team of Debt Collection Specialists applies structured and
compliant communication strategies to negotiate amicable repayment solutions. Through
constructive engagement and clear presentation of repayment options, we maximize
recoveries while maintaining strong business relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating with debtors to collect
overdue payments in an amicable and professional manner. The DC Specialist will
implement the company’s communication strategy to achieve optimal results, while
closely monitoring the progress of each assigned case.
The role also involves regular communication with clients, ensuring that high quality
standards and service levels are consistently met.
More specifically, the role includes:
• Identifying and obtaining accurate contact information for debtors and
establishing effective communication.
• Building trust with debtors and ensuring that all information relating to the
outstanding debt is communicated clearly and transparently.
• Negotiating repayment plans and working towards mutually acceptable
solutions.
• Liaising with clients, responding to inquiries, and providing recommendations on
the most effective handling of cases.
Qualifications/credentials and Personal Characteristics:
• Excellent knowledge (written and spoken) of the Greek and English languages
• Knowledge of any additional languages will be considered as an advantage
• Bachelor’s degree in any field will be considered as an advantage
• Previous experience in the field of debt collection will be considered as an
advantage
• Strong communication and negotiating skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Eligibility to work in the Republic of Cyprus

Remuneration Package
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive remuneration package, including
a 13th salary, performance-based salary reviews, participation in the provident fund
scheme, 22 days of annual leave, free parking, and additional benefits.

International Debt Collection Specialist

Duties & Responsibilities:

The job holder will be responsible for negotiating with debtors for the collection of their overdue payment in an amicable manner. The IDC Specialist will be implementing the company’s communication strategy to achieve the desirable results and closely monitoring the progress of each case. S/he will also be responsible for regularly liaising with clients about their cases ensuring that the high standard of quality is met.


More specifically, her/his duties will include:

· Identifying contact information about debtors and establishing communication with them.

· Building trust and ensuring all information regarding the outstanding debt is clearly communicated to debtors.

· Negotiating a repayment plan with debtors and trying to find a mutually accepted solution.

· Liaising with clients/responding to queries and providing suggestions on how to best handle a case.



Qualifications/credentials and Personal Characteristics:

· Excellent command of Greek, English, and Turkish (both written and spoken).

· Knowledge of any additional languages will be considered as an advantage.

· Bachelor’s degree in any field will be considered as an advantage.
