Role Overview:
As our Cost Accountant, youâll play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our organization. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Payroll Reporting & Processing: Accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, ensuring our employees receive their hard-earned wages promptly.
2. Intercompany Transaction Clearing: Managing transactions between our various legal entities, ensuring seamless financial coordination.
3. Accounts Payable: Handling vendor bills, reconciling accounts, and maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers.
4. Accounts Receivable: Managing client invoicing, tracking payments, and ensuring timely collections.
5. Balance Sheet Reconciliations (Monthly): Keeping our financial records in check by reconciling balance sheet accounts and identifying any discrepancies.
6. Actuals Monthly Reporting for Projects: Providing insightful financial reports to support decision-making across our projects.
7. Procurement: Work closely with the procurement department to make informed and strategic decisions about purchasing goods and services by analyzing the costs associated with various suppliers and products to provide critical insights into savings.
8. Cash Flow: Analyzing bills received from vendors against Client invoices and estimating monthly cashflow.
9. Analyzing all transactions and incorporating unforeseen costs into the budget.
10. Keeping a record of all project finances for internal/external auditing and tax purposes.
11. Preparing cost analyses by interpreting projectsâ financial data and information.
12. Reporting any financial risks and budgetary discrepancies to management for review.
13. Researching market trends and projecting construction-related price increases or decreases.
14. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
15. Staying informed about both the construction industry and accounting practices.

Qualifications:

We can't deny a certain sense of pride that the Red Dock at Necker Island was the feature photo used to illustrate the New York Times' listing of the BVI as one of the "52 Places to Go in 2020".
Meridian completed the installation of the "Red Dock" at Necker Island in North Sound, Virgin Gorda, BVI a year ago.
Deckboards are custom color TanDeck⢠- 100% Post-Consumer Recycled HDPE resin combined with proprietary strengthening fibers, UVâinhibited pigments, anti-oxidant processing aids and other additives for a "highly stable material formulation that is superior to wood lumber and wood based composite plastic lumber to withstand the harshest marine environments".
